The city-owned Georgetown Utility Systems (GUS) serves as the primary provider of electric, water, and wastewater to Georgetown residents and businesses.  Georgetown has made international news by becoming one of the few cities in the US to provide 100% renewable energy to its electric customers.  GUS works constantly to ensure the reliability of its current services while planning for and building capacity to serve the water and electric needs of business and residential customers in the future.  GUS is one of the community’s most important economic development tools providing utility infrastructure and rate assistance to eligible companies.
