Located on IH 35 at the northern edge of the Austin Metro area, Georgetown is a beautiful City nestled between the clear waters of the North and South San Gabriel Rivers. As the county seat of Williamson County, one of the fastest growing counties in the nation, Georgetown is experiencing tremendous growth in both residential and commercial sectors. Between 1990 and 2000 an average 3.7 people moved to Georgetown every day almost doubling the population from 14,842 to 28,339. The current population estimate of 48,320 shows that the high growth rate continues. The average age of the population in a 6 mile radius from the city center is 39.25 and the average household income is $91,781. In addition the population of Georgetown is highly-educated with 25.93% of the population in the six-mile radius achieving a Bachelor’s Degree.

In Georgetown, residents and visitors can shop at the unique retail outlets and restaurants on the historic downtown square. A Main Street designated city, Georgetown cherishes its newly revitalized Courthouse and surrounding Victorian era storefronts. Georgetown also offers variety of family oriented festivals and events, hike and bike trails along the San Gabriel River from downtown to the 1,310-acre Lake Georgetown, beautiful parks, challenging golf courses, and Inner Space Caverns.
