Between 1990 and 2000 an average 3.7 people moved to Georgetown every day almost doubling the population from 14,842 to 28,339. The current population estimate of 48,320 shows that the high growth rate continues. The average age of the population in a 6 mile radius from the city center is 39.25 and the average household income is $91,781. In addition the population of Georgetown is highly-educated with 25.93% of the population in the six-mile radius achieving a Bachelor’s Degree.
