ED Boards & Commissions

Economic Development Advisory Board (EDAB)

The seven member Economic Development Advisory Board (formerly the Economic Development Commission) acts as an advisory body to the City’s Economic Development Director and the City Manager. Members shall have experience in the following areas: business retention and expansion, land and property, business recruitment, inter-business and inter-governmental relations, retail and infrastructure.

Georgetown Economic Development Corporation

The purpose of the Georgetown Economic Development Corporation is to consider requests and grant funds for Projects authorized under Section 2(11)(A) and Section 4A(i) of the Texas Development Corporation Act of 1979, (Tex. Rev. Civ. Stat., Ann., Art. 5190.6, 4A, as amended), and as delineated in Georgetown City Council Resolution 121404-JJ. There are five members on the Board. There are currently no vacancies on this board.

The Georgetown Economic Development Corporation meets quarterly.
